Sh*t New Yorkers Say

If you live here, you know how amazingly, eerily perfect this is. I said about 90 percent of these things on my way to work this morning. And bonus points for the faked enthusiasm for a gift of crappy Magnolia Bakery’s crappy cupcakes.

It should be changed to Shit Hipster New Yorkers Say. Lolol.

Stuff bougie New Yorkers who really aren’t from New York cuz they moved here from the burbs when they were 23 say.” - my friend Jackie, who is totes correct LOL

& honestly, they’re from a Long Island suburb and moved to the city…uhmmm, yeah. let’s be mindful of that. if you didn’t grow up on 50 cent sodas, didn’t feel the economic let down and didn’t depend a bus/train to get around, you can’t call yourself a new yorker.

lol i love the two-sided opinions about this video. some say it’s true and some say it’s “bougie” stuff.

the whole time i watched it was like… “okay, i say that SOMETIMES” and then the other times im like… “what kind of new yorker says that…?”

or i think it’s just cus i still remain as a confused New Yorker who grew up in Queens then moved to Long Island then going to college in Manhattan and has a secondary household in Brooklyn. im conflicted as fuck. LOL

I think the video does give New Yorkers some justice, I’ve said many of these things before. Though, I think this is a little more centered around what would Manhattanites say. Either way the opposing views I don’t think detract from the video - in fact, I think it shows another New Yorker aspect: we disagree with everything and we always have to complain about everything.
